IND W vs WI W: Indian Women defeated West Indies by 7 wickets in the 9th match of Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 thanks to the partnership between captain Harman Preet Kaur and Richa Ghosh.

India got off to a disappointing start as they raced to a target of 118, following a 32-run opening partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma.
India’s legendary batsmen Smriti, Shafali and Jemimah Rodrigues fell 3 quick wickets as Team India were reduced to 43/3 in 7.1 overs.
But skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and 19-year-old Richa Ghosh scored a double when they put on 72 runs for the fourth wicket, leaving India victorious with 11 deliveries to spare from the target.
Richa Ghosh scored 44 off 32 balls which included 5 fours while Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 33 runs.
Although the Indian team had a poor start in this match, but Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh showed the team the way to victory despite their poor form. In this match, the Indian team won by setting a target of 118 runs.
In this match, Shamim Campbell and Stafanie Taylor batted well for the West Indies, but due to the successful bowling of the Indian team against them, they could not score much runs. Deepti Sharma again bowled brilliantly against the West Indies and took three wickets.
